Remember to put the clocks back!

Posted by Kiran on 24th Oct 2015

The clocks are going back one hour on the 25th October at 02:00am.

The idea of daylight saving was first introduced in Britain by William Willett in 1907, however was originally proposed by George Vernon Hudson from New Zealand in 1895.

The First World War had begun, and as Britain and Germany fought, Parliament passed The Summer Time Act of 1916 in attempt to save fuel and money. The first day of British Summer Time, 21st May 1916. Now we either dread the earlier wake up call or savour the extra hour!

Remember to change them back to get that well deserved extra hour in bed!!
