Seiko's links to Antarctica inspire this timepiece - where Seiko dive watches have been put to the test in extreme conditions by Japanese Antarctic Research Expeditions four times since 1966.
The marine blue dial and strap colour signifies the unforgiving freezing Antarctica seas, whilst the hairline finish on the front and sides of the case are designed to represent the looks of a Glacier.
In a 2020 watch industry first, the grade of stainless steel in the case of this watch, Seiko's "Ever-Brilliant Steel," is more corrosion-resistant than in most luxury watches today and only usually used in the marine industry.

This watch is a limited edition of 1,700 pieces.

A fantastic twist on the 62MAS line

A fantastic twist on the 62MAS line, perfect size with a tool like, brushed finish. A gorgeous watch but perhaps a little too expensive, but it seems to be the way that the Seiko lines are going. I purchased a rather expensive Seiko watch from WatchO, firstly I was very happy with the price, the watch itself was a pre order and a limited edition run of only 1700 watches. After receiving and wearing the watch for 24 hours I noticed that there was a defect with the application of the lume on several of the indices on the dial, I phoned WatchO helpline and was blown away with the level of customer support I was given, something which is hard to come across these days. Kiran and the team helped me throughout the entire returns process, with many phone calls and emails, and today less than a week later I am sat here typing this review with a new replacement on the wrist. Extremely professional with a personal touch, I cannot recommend WatchO and the team highly enough, and I will certainly look to use them again in the future.
