The Seiko 5 Sports of 1968 was a game-changer with its enhanced water resistance, fortified crystal, and luminous hour hands and markers. Designed to attract the active youth of the 1960s, this watch featured a robust case and movement capable of enduring various conditions and adventures.

A Re-creation of Seiko 5 Sports

Inspired by this pioneering collection, the new Seiko 5 Sports revives the vintage charm of its predecessor with meticulous accuracy. Available in the distinctive blue-grey 'ash blue' and 'Pepper' black colors that were popularized by the original, this model maintains a classic look under its curved glass.

The bracelet, with solid links, echoes the retro design of the original and also includes a '68 style calf leather strap for an added vintage touch. Powered by the in-house 4R36 automatic movement, the Seiko 5 Sports boasts a 40-hour power reserve.

For over fifty years

For over fifty years, Seiko 5 Sports has been synonymous with reliability, durability, performance, and value. The “5” signifies the five original key features that continue to define every Seiko 5 watch today: automatic movement, day-date display, water resistance, recessed crown, and durable case and bracelet.
