Celebrating 60 years of diving watch innovation, this anniversary edition combines classic inspiration with modern upgrades, making it a must-have for any serious Seiko fan. (SPB519J1)

Powered by the Calibre 6R54

This edition debuts a fresh dial layout for the GMT line, featuring a silver-white base with sharp indices and red accents on the seconds and GMT hands. It’s a clean, modern aesthetic that pulls inspiration from past icons without feeling dated.

At the heart of the watch is the Calibre 6R54, a new movement boasting a 72-hour power reserve. In fact, Seiko has chosen to highlight this on the dial itself with a bold “3 Days” marking—a design choice that’s stirred mixed feelings among collectors. While the printed claim might be one line too many for some, there’s no denying the calibre’s robust real-world performance. Officially rated at +25/-15 seconds per day, it typically runs more accurately in daily wear, as many Seiko owners will attest.

Classic Proportions, Dive-Ready Build

The 42mm stainless steel case hits a sweet spot with its compact 48.6mm lug-to-lug and 13.3mm thickness. It’s tough, refined, and ready for adventure with a 300m water resistance rating—more than enough for real-world diving.

The standout feature here is the crisp blue ceramic bezel, which plays beautifully against the silver-white dial. The look is clean and summer-ready, and the new red GMT hand adds just the right amount of contrast.

A Refined Evolution

The SPB519 is a refined continuation of Seiko’s high-end Prospex GMT line. If you've followed recent releases like the mechanical GMT divers in the series, you’ll recognise the DNA here—chunky stainless steel build, serious water resistance, and a no-nonsense tool watch feel. What sets this model apart is its toned-down palette, trading flashy gold and deep ocean blue for something more subtle and versatile.
