A look into the brand: Daniel Wellington

Posted by Yash on 28th Aug 2018

The sleek and clean Daniel Wellington watches were founded by Filip Tysander in 2011. However, Tysander’s timeless watches were inspired by Wellington who he ran into on a trip to the British Isles. Tysander took his brilliant ideas back to Sweden and that was where the brand was first discovered. The NATO straps, which Daniel Wellington is known for was also inspired by the watch on Wellington’s wrist however, Tysander made the brand his own by adding a modern touch.

Daniel Wellington are best-selling watches because some of the most famous super models wear and advertise them. One of them being Kendall Jenner, an American model and television personality. She is also one of the highest paid models in the world. Another ambassador is internet personality, Cameron Dallas, who has won a number of awards including 2017’s favourite social media star. Ming Xi, UK’s Daniel Wellington ambassador, features in many videos with Cameron Dallas.

DW’s first watch included NATO straps, making it feel thin and elegant on your wrist and with not too many features, it gives it a clean and finished look. This watch can be worn, looking perfect for numerous occasions, examples including a tuxedo event or even a fun game of table tennis. Also, with it’s interchangeable straps, you could give the impression of wearing a new watch every single day of the week. They also now incorporate leather and mesh straps into their beautiful watches.

Bayswater and Roselyn are Daniel Wellingtons latest selection of watches. They feature NATO straps in ruby red and midnight blue with simple black and white-faced dials. Both of these are like the style that Tysander thought of as simple and elegant. This new collection is an effortless day-to-evening timepiece that you must have.
