Max René is a Danish watch designer, whose work has been awarded twice by the honourable Swiss Prize "International Watch of the Year". Since then, Max René has been renowned for his watch collaboration with the Danish Bang & Olufsen-designer, Jacob Jensen (one of the world's most influential designers). The two designer went on to designing several watch collections together that are featured in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.  After 30-years as a designer for other brands, Max René crafted his own personal collection with the ultra thin, minimalist watches with interchangeable straps.

The BERING & Max René collaboration is the merging of different fascinating worlds with one another to create a whole unique watch that's a combination of the Danish minimalistic, high functionality, and noble materials. The Max René collection allows you to switch between different straps with the simple yet elegant sliding technology. Just slide out the old strap and slide in the new, instant customisation. Switch from any colour silicone straps to a (rose) gold or silver mesh bracelet. So, you can go from cool and hip to smart and classy.

The collection features all sorts of colours - red, yellow, khaki, navy and baby blue. The mesh models vary from black, silver, (rose) gold straps. Dials alternate from black, white and blue for the mesh models to white for the silicone models. The case is stainless steel and is powered by an analogue quartz movement. The sapphire glass means the watch is scratch-resistance and crystal clear. Also, although the watch is protected against rain, it must not be worn under water.

Overall, the BERING Max René collaboration has made for excellent watches to be produced. The ability to craft such a fun yet smart and classy watch shows tremendous skill. The watch demonstrates how in sync BERING and Max René were; two brands coming together to create a new and innovate watch.
