G-Shock G-Squad Fitness

Posted by Nicole on 11th Mar 2020

A new day, a new G-SQUAD member. G-Shock have decided to take on fitness, just in time for summer! G-Shock fans can stay loyal to their favourite watch brand if they’re thinking of changing things up a bit.

Some exciting features include shock resistancy (obviously), a 200m water resistancy, and position tracking with GPS/GLONASS/QZSS. Sensors include optical heart rate sensor, magnetic sensor (compass), pressure sensor, thermo sensor and acceleration sensor.

Casio G-Shock GBD-H1000 has the familiar looking case style we all know, with a similar looking overall appearance to the Rangeman with its fancy digital screen. There are four colours to choose from including a black and silver with a white strap and lime green features, second is a red case and strap with metallic blue features, thirdly, an all-black and silver and lastly, a black and silver with red accents.

What we all want to know about is… battery life! This watch can track 14 hours’ worth of exercising with the GPS on and can last in time mode for about 12 months.

Calories burned, VO2 max estimate, fitness level, training load and training status are some more of the fantastic features included in the specs! GBD-H1000 can store in its training log, up to 100 runs, 140 lap records per run as well as metrics like elapsed time, distance, pace, heart rate and aerobic and anaerobic training effect.

We here at WatchO are excited to test this watch out. We think it’s a great move on Casio’s part, they’re playing into the big game of fitness that the world has going on right now… even me!
