NEW Limited Edition Seiko Prospex Twilight Blue Watch

Posted by Nicole on 4th Jun 2019

The beautiful new Prospex Twilight Blue watch from Seiko is inspired by the 1968 original diver’s watch. The re-creation of this watch uses a thinner uni-directional bezel, coated with titanium carbonate. Seiko have us all in awe again with this Limited Edition SPB097J1, with only 153 being sold within the UK.

The colour combinations presented on this watch are what really makes it stand out! With the black bezel sporting an orange insert, which marks the first 15 minutes of the diver’s scale. The deep blue sunburst dial with a brushed pattern, creates nice reflections and changing colours, adding touches of that stunning vibrant orange at the 5 minute markers and the second hand.

Twilight Blue has a 6R15 automatic movement, which beats at 21,600 times per hour, 6 beats per second. It is complete with 23 jewels and a 50 hour power reserve. Bringing the dial to life even more, is the premium curved sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating. This watch is accompanied by an extra black silicone strap.

I think the colour combinations of this watch are what wow me the most. The Orange Twilight sunshine reflecting and the beautiful blue sea. It’s a brave thing to use a range of colours on one piece that you want to resonate with a large audience, but this combination takes the cake! I love that with Seiko, even with a fantastic diver’s watch like this one, you can wear it for pretty much any occasion, especially with the handy extra strap making it even more accommodating.
