HIRSCH 18mm Leather for Omega Seamaster

The original steel deployment strap failed after 20 years on my mid size Omega Seamaster Pro. So thought i would try a leather swop out while sourcing a steel replacement. Two years later and the leather HIRSCH its still on there!. I am really surprised, actually looks pretty smart on the old Seamaster body. Obviously no longer use in water...but the watch is worn everyday, out on the bike, in the gym etc so now has acquired a nice patina. One minus point the keeper loop failed after about a year now left with just the free loop. Would be better to have steel keeper and free loop maybe?
