Continuing the evolution of the long-standing Seiko 5 Sports SNXS series, this new watch adopts the design principles of these original Seiko 5s.
The case retains the iconic Hebitama "helmet" form, which is thought by Seiko devotees to resemble a snake eating an egg. It has been reimagined in reduced dimensions and now blends whimsical inspiration with a sophisticated, adaptable shape.
The gold-colored indices and hands accentuate the dial's crisp silver finish, which is accentuated by minute surface elements that add richness and depth.
The hands are non-triangular and are wider, to enhance the Classic look whilst the gold second hand is inspired by the classic 70s design.
True to the aims of the very first Seiko 5 – this watch is highly durable and withstands strong wear – ideal for sports.
Seiko 5 Sports is known for over fifty years of reliability, durability, performance, and value. ‘’5’’ represents the original five key features of every Seiko 5 still present today: Automatic movement, Day-date display, Water Resistance, Recessed crown and Durable case and bracelet.
The mechanism used is an in-house-built 4R36 automatic movement with manual winding capacity. This calibre movement has 24 Jewels and a 41-hour power reserve.
