Origins of this collection:
- The Alpinist didn’t begin as a fashion choice. It began as a necessity. The answer came in 1959, with a watch crafted for the Yama-otoko, Japanese mountain men who walked long trails, climbed rugged terrain, and needed gear that could endure far beyond casual use.
