Very classy looking and excellent quality watch and strap. Plus, the link to one of our favourite films made this special. I’ve now had the watch for a month. So far I am very pleased. Firstly, great service from Kerry, who was both professional and personable. Now for the watch. Many online reviews suggest it’s too big. It is certainly not short in lug to lug length but in my view wears very well on my 7.25 inch wrist. Very happy with the size. The strap is great quality, although it would be nice if it had quick-release pins. The watch is also a strap monster. In good light the watch is clear and very pleasant. But the one negative I would say is that it has a very slightly domed sapphire crystal without anti-reflective treatment. This basically means it reflects absolutely every light, reducing the clarity of the face. In dim evening light it is more muted and subtle than many other watches. Nevertheless, it is a lovely classic watch. The push-pull crown is oversized compared to other watches, but feels exceptionally well made, which is why the water resistance is a good 100 m. Accuracy has averaged +2.4 seconds per day over 27 days. Minimise that by leaving it crown-up at night. It’s slightly more accurate than that during wear, slightly worse on the bedside table at night. Superb accuracy compared to most Seikos, for example. And I have to say I like that. The one thing I haven’t been able to test is the 80 hour power reserve, as I’ve been wearing it every day. And for film fans, only the 42 mm one has “Eureka“ in Morse code on the seconds hand! A nice touch. I’ve now had the watch for a month. Great service and a great watch.
